Downloading Google Maps to your Garmin
Hey, This is Jake from the Garmin blog team. We've been working with Google to bring you a brand new feature that makes travel planning faster and more efficient than ever before - because now you can go to Google or Google maps, search for a business and download the results of your search directly to your Garmin GPS device. So if there is somewhere in town that you are thinking about trying out, for example my collegues are over here talking about Waldo Pizza, you can check it out - search for it and send it directly to your Garmin device - and then you are on the go. Let's give it a try.
So we start off by going to Google and typing in our search term - in this case, Waldo Pizza. And sure enough, there it is. So I go down here and click on it .. and yep, that's the Waldo Pizza I want. So we view the larger map, and then our 'send' options are over here on the top right corner. I want to choose 'GPS' so I can send it to my Garmin. Once I hit send, it goes to "My Garmin Page" - and right there I'm able to store, organize, and most important - send to GPS.
Alright, and just like that we're good to go. So I'm go grab some lunch but keep checking back at Garmin.blogs.com if you have any questions or just for future updates. We'll keep you posted. I'll talk to you soon.
